Robert Regis Dvorak
Robert Regis Dvorák is a brilliant painter who finds inspiration in nature—the human form and dramatic landscape. He paints in watercolor and oil. Mr. Dvorák’s watercolors glow with luminous color and dramatic light. They are fresh and transparent, creating magical illusions of his subject. His oils are rich and textured with strong form and glowing color. The inspiration for his painting comes from his love of Yosemite, the California coast, Hawaii, the ocean, surfers, and Europe—particularly Italy and Greece—and the human figure. He has had 23 one-man exhibitions of paintings, drawings and prints. His work is shown at the Garden Gallery in Half Moon Bay, California since 1995. Some of his works can be viewed on his web site at www.youcreate.com. His paintings are in many private and museum collections. Some of these incredible images are available to art collectors as Giclée prints. Mr. Dvorák has written and illustrated six books including: Drawing Without Fear, The Magic of Drawing and Experiential Drawing. He and his work were featured in two articles published by American Artist Magazine, “Sketching While Traveling in Greece” and “Twenty Minutes to a Beautiful Figure” in Watercolor magazine. Mr. Dvorák also teaches drawing and watercolor classes for the University of California Extensions and at many community colleges in northern California. Those of you who have had classes with Mr. Dvorák will enjoy seeing the extraordinary skill of this master. Link: www.youcreate.com
